The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday (March 13) made significant strides in its preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections by releasing its second list of candidates, comprising 72 names. The announcement came after the party’s Central Election Committee (CEC) convened its second meeting in the national capital on Monday to finalize the candidates.
Having previously released the first list of 195 candidates earlier in the month, the addition of 72 more names brings the BJP’s total candidate count to 267 for the impending polls. This move underscores the party’s proactive stance in readiness for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, pending the official schedule announcement.
